For the handlepole connection, I used a 3/8" eye, nut/washer on the bottom, lock nut and washer on the top (all stainless steel). I have an aftermarket chinpad with plenty of clearance underneath it for the nut on top, so that wasn't a problem. The two quick-release links are stainless steel, and are attached to the rope by unraveling the rope and braiding it back through itself.
